About the Position:
A growth-oriented real estate investment firm focused on multifamily acquisitions is seeking a Real Estate Analyst – Multifamily Acquisitions & Asset Performance. This role supports portfolio oversight, financial analysis, and operational execution to drive asset performance and investor returns.
Position Overview:
This role blends financial analysis with field execution—reviewing property performance, visiting assets, identifying operational inefficiencies, and ensuring business plans are executed effectively. The ideal candidate will partner closely with property management teams to drive NOI growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight & Analysis
- Review monthly financial statements, variance reports, and operating metrics
- Analyze T12s, rent rolls, occupancy trends, bad debt, concessions, and expenses
- Identify revenue enhancement and cost reduction opportunities
- Track budget vs. actual performance and recommend corrective actions
- Assist with forecasting and annual budgeting
Operational & Property-Level Involvement
- Travel to properties to assess operations and physical condition
- Ensure business plan execution aligns with underwriting assumptions
- Evaluate renovation progress, capex spend, and ROI metrics
- Participate in property management strategy calls
Performance Optimization
- Monitor KPIs including occupancy, rent growth, expense ratios, and NOI
- Analyze leasing performance and market positioning
- Support value-add and repositioning strategies
Capital & Strategic Support
- Assist with refinancing, dispositions, and hold/sell analysis
- Support investor reporting and performance summaries
- Evaluate ROI on capital improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
- 2–5+ years of experience in asset management, acquisitions, or property operations
- Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar systems preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
