HRX Headhhunters has been retained to identify a Full-Time Textile Studio Assistant for a growing, design-driven textile studio based in Brooklyn, NY. The Opportunity:
This in-person role (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM) will support both creative and operational functions within the studio. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to both the artistic and logistical sides of the business.
Sample Library & Collection Management:
- Maintain and organize sample drawers and inventory
- Place and process weekly memo restocks
- Receive, sort, and file memo returns from clients and sales representatives
- Coordinate memo reorders with the sample maker
- Track and update sampling inventory weekly in Airtable
- Prepare and ship new collection launches to sales representatives
- Build and maintain complete collection sets for the sales team
Office & Studio Operations:
- Manage and reorder office supplies
- Support sourcing and design teams in organizing new materials from mills
- Assist with office organization and sourcing-related projects
- Learn to cut, label, and present new textile samples for internal review
- Support client gifts and special shipments
Client CFA (Cutting for Approval) Process:
- Oversee the full CFA process to ensure timely client sample delivery
- Send client CFAs within one business day of receipt
- Collaborate with purchasing to track approvals and manage follow-ups
- Conduct weekly SAP audits to confirm all CFAs are processed and logged
- Maintain detailed CFA records including tracking, shipment, and approval status
- Prepare and distribute daily CFA summary reports
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive CFA archive

- Proficiency with digital tools and databases (Airtable and SAP preferred)
